OUR HISTORY
Computer Intelligence US was founded in 1969, in San Diego with the simple intent of helping companies in the mainframe business identify opportunities faster. From mainframes, as the Computer Age evolved, so did Computer Intelligence, increasing its scope to include profiles of midrange computers, software, telecommunications equipment, LANs, PCs, and more.
Between 1989 and 1991, Computer Intelligence US (a Ziff Davis company) acquired two European database marketing companies; which formed Computer Intelligence Europe.
In 1998, Computer Intelligence Europe was re-named ZD Market Intelligence when Ziff Davis went public.
In 1999, ZD Market Intelligence was acquired by Harte-Hanks and we became Harte-Hanks Market Intelligence.
We've kept the "CI" in our core product name (CI Technology Database) from Computer Intelligence because of the long and successful history of our flagship database product.
The CI Technology Database™ is the pre-eminent source for identifying opportunity and decision makers in the technology market and covers 16 in Western and 4 in Eastern European countries besides North and Latin America.
Technology sales and marketing professionals have relied on The CI Technology Database™ for 15 years in Europe and 35 years in the US to develop targeted sales and marketing programs, analyze their markets, and target opportunities. Today, the database is part of a Harte-Hanks’ extensive line of direct and interactive marketing services that allows us to deliver one-of-a-kind, end-to-end, direct marketing solutions for our customers.
